More than just feeling freedom, energy, and lightness on the skin, we believe those who love the sun should wear summer. They should be summer.

It was from this perspective that BANNANNA was born — a Brazilian resortwear brand founded in 2017 by designer Nelson Silva.

BANNANNA emerged from a meeting of contrasts: the cultural richness of Bahia, where Nelson was born, and the cosmopolitan energy of São Paulo, where he was raised and where the brand is now based. This blend, along with his deep connection to Rio de Janeiro and its seaside spirit, informs a unique and non-literal creative vision that sets BANNANNA apart.

More than a resortwear label, BANNANNA is an invitation to embody the summer — to live freely, boldly, and with intention. Our swimwear and apparel are designed for men who celebrate the sensuality of nature, the power of self-expression, and the beauty of simplicity.

Each BANNANNA piece is handmade in Brazil by a women-led atelier, in small-scale productions that prioritize detail, individuality, and care. Our collections are crafted using high-quality, renewable, and certified materials, reflecting a conscious approach to fashion and a deep respect for the environment that inspires us.

My process started from a sensorial connection to the product itself, not from trends or formulas. Back on the Global Stage

In 2020, BANNANNA became the first Brazilian men’s swimwear brand to go global. After a temporary pause in 2024 to reframe our structure and improve the international experience, we return with a new platform and renewed energy — ready to connect with the world once again.
